Practice is instant, offline and yours. This is the part that counts, and it is graded where your browser cannot reach.
The board and your standing live on the server. Nothing here needs doing.
Everything else in the lab is yours and decides nothing. A ranking has to know it is really you, so this part has a real account behind it.
Only addresses your facilitator has seated can join a cohort, and claiming a seat needs the code. Creating a login with any other address works and gets you nothing, which is the point.
The weekly challenge and the cohort board live on the server, and it did not respond just now. Your account, your seat and your standing are all still there. You do not need to sign in again.
If this keeps happening, check the wifi first. Everything else in the lab keeps working without the server, because practice is stored on this machine.
Sign-ins do not last forever, and this one has reached the end. Nothing has been lost: your seat, your standing and everything you have practiced are all where you left them. Your password is the same as it was.
Not your account? Sign in as somebody else. That clears this machine's copy of the seat, which is only a copy: the seat itself is on the server.
You followed a reset link, so there is no need for the old password. Set a new one and you are signed in.

An address that is not seated here cannot join, cannot sit a challenge, and cannot appear on a board.
Access requests: approve or reject who asked to join the lab
Every account backs itself up to the server as it works. This is what turns "her browser lost it" from an apology into a paste. Pull the latest backup, send them the code, and they paste it into Move my progress on the dashboard.
